One of the great productivity tool for office people is keyboard shortcuts. In my previous posts, you will find shortcuts for window and excel and In this post, I’m going to share Microsoft Word shortcuts. You may find it hard to remember but you just need to pick some shortcuts that are most useful for you and practice them, then you will realize that they save you a lot of time.

Ctrl + O Open an document.
Ctrl + S Save the document.
Ctrl + W Close the document.
Ctrl + X Cut
Ctrl + C Copy selected text or object to the Clipboard.
Ctrl + V Paste most recent addition from the Clipboard.
Ctrl + A Select all
Ctrl + B Apply or remove Bold.
Ctrl + I Apply or remove Italic.
Ctrl + U Apply or remove Underline.
Ctrl + Shift + W Apply or remove Underline a word.
Ctrl + Shift + D Apply or remove Double Underline.
Ctrl + [ Decrease font size 1 point.
Ctrl + ] Increase font size 1 point.
Ctrl + E Center text
Ctrl + L Left align text.
Ctrl + R Right align text.
Ctrl + J Justify text.
Esc Cancel.
Ctrl + Z Undo an action.
Ctrl + Y Re-do the last action.
Ctrl + P Print a document.
Ctrl + K Insert a hyperlink.
Ctrl + Left Arrow Go back one word.
Ctrl + Right Arrow Go forward one word.
Ctrl + Up GoTo Next Paragraph.
Ctrl + Down GoTo Previous Paragraph.
Ctrl + Shift + A. Format all selected letters as capitals.
Ctrl + Enter Page break
Shift + F3 Case change (capitalization).
Ctrl + F Find
Ctrl + M Increase Indent.
Ctrl + Shift + M Decrease Indent.
